Detroit Lions' Matthew Stafford drops $3.85 million on Georgia mansion
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford hasn't signed his new contract yet, but that hasn't stopped him from splurging on a major purchase.
Stafford, who's closing in on a contract extension that will make him the highest paid player in the NFL, recently bought a 9,838-square-foot mansion in Atlanta for $3.85 million, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The house, which was built in 2015, includes eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a guesthouse, pool and tennis court.
Stafford and his wife, Kelly, also have a home in Oakland County.
