Brookfield Brewers holding tryouts
The select Brookfield Brewers Baseball Club is offering tryouts for the 2017 (U13) season.
The team-owned turf indoor training facility includes a HitTrax system, a Fungoman defense training machine, multiple pitching machines and batting cages and other training aids.
The coaching staff includes coaches and players from top-level high school and college programs.
Optional fall practices are followed by 'pick your schedule' indoor winter sessions, outdoor spring sessions and a spring/summer schedule of 55-60 league and tournament games.

Brookfield East Jr. Spartans tryouts
The Brookfield East Jr. Spartans, the select feeder program for Brookfield East High School, are holding tryouts for the 2017 baseball season in the coming weeks.
U8 and U9 tryouts are at 6 p.m. July 26 at Brookfield East High School. U10 tryouts will be at 1 p.m. July 30 and July 31 at Brookfield East.
U11 and U12 tryouts are July 23 and July 30 at 9 a.m. at Wirth Park. U13 tryouts will be held July 21 at 5 p.m. at Wirth Park.
U14 tryouts are at 6:30 p.m. July 21 and 9 a.m. July 23 at Wirth Park.

Sharon Lynne Wilson Center plans golf outing
The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield will host its 16th annual golf classic Aug. 1 at the Legend of Merrill Hills Country Club in Waukesha.
A cocktail party, dinner, silent auction, raffle and a live auction will follow the golf outing. All money raised will benefit the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center's arts education programs.
The shotgun scramble start begins at 12 p.m., with cocktail hour starting at 5 p.m. and the dinner and auction beginning at 6 p.m.
The cost to attend is $75 for just dinner, $350 for an individual golfer or $1,400 for a foursome. Other sponsorship opportunities are available.

Zoological Society golf outing set
The Zoological Society of Milwaukee's annual golfing fundraiser, Birdies & Eagles Golf Tournament, will be held July 27 at the Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon.
The cost to attend the event, which includes an 18-hole scramble tournament, lunch and dinner, is $350 for an individual and $1,400 for a foursome.
Last year's event raised over $108,000 for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, which promotes and educates the importance of conservation of wildlife, the environment and endangered species.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. with a buffet lunch at 11 a.m. Tee off for the golf outing is at 12 p.m. Cocktails and silent auction starts at 5 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.
