If you want to know how Brookfield Central golf coach Brian Scrobel feels about his 2016 golf team, just listen to this.

'These guys have left their mark on BC golf history,' he said. 'This was a great, hardworking team. This group will be missed.'

Scrobel will lose six seniors to graduation: Sean Yun, Josh Trasser, Kevin Hershberger, Tanner O'Gorman, Marcus Oleson and Max Ryder.

But sophomore Zack Mindel and freshman Jack Anderson are the new faces of the program.

Hershberger led the team with a 39.2 average. He was a captain, MVP, first team All-GMC, GCAW honorable mention All State, Journal Sentinel second-team All-Area. He was also a GMC Scholar Athlete and on the GCAW Academic All-State team.

He shot a 75 in the WIAA sectional championship and had a season-best 69 at Erin Hills.

Yun averaged a 39.8, was a captain, MVP, a Journal Sentinel honorable mention All-Area and a GMC Scholar Athlete, and he was a GCAW Academic All-Stater.

He won the Waukesha County Championship (72/73) and shot a 75 at the WIAA regional championship.

Trasser averaged 40.2 and was a second-team All-GMC selection and a Journal Sentinel honorable mention All-Area. He shot a 77/77 at the Waukesha County Championship.

O'Gorman averaged 41.6 before being grounded with a back problem. He was a GMC Scholar Athlete and shot a 37 at a GMC mini-meet at Blue Mound.

Oleson averaged 45.1 and shot a 40 at Chenequa, and Ryder averaged 54.0 with a 51 at Ozaukee.

Zack Mindel averaged 41.2, was third-team All-GMC, GCAW Academic All-State and he shot a 76 at the WIAA sectional, and Jack Anderson averaged 42.1, shooting a 76 at the WIAA dectional. Mike Burzynski averaged 42.8 with a 78 at LaCrosse Country Club, Brandon Talaska averaged 43.9 with an 84 at Watertown, Jack Sonsalla averaged 45.0 with a 42 at Chenequa and Brad Moon averaged 47.1 and shot a 43 at North Shore.
