The Brookfield Central boys track and field team participated in the New Berlin West Invite on March 16 and then took part in the Nelson Daniels Invite on March 18.

At New Berlin West, Ben Olson won the 3,200-meter run in 11 minutes, 36.94 minutes, Ezedike Chioma took first in the 200-meter dash (25.60) and Mitch Meves won the long jump (19-11).

Central also took the top three spots in the pole vault behind Buc Nellen (12-feet), Joe DuBois (11-6) and Meves (11-0).

Zach Heckman finished second in the 55-meter dash (6.92), Ethan Gustafson finished second in the 55 hurdles (9.23) and the 4x400 relay (4:00.81) and the 4x800 relay (9:23.88) both took second.

Sam Ockwood in the shot put (39-3) and the 4x240 relay (2:11.94) both finished third.

Finishing fourth were Dominic Labellarte in the long jump (18-1/4), Tyler Demers in the 55 hurdles (9.67), Nick Rozanski in the triple jump (38-1/2) and Joey Koppelman in the shot (39-11/2).

On March 19, Central finished sixth (38 points) at the Performance Running Outfitters Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran at UW-Parkside.

Demers in the 55 intermediate hurdles (8.87) and Nellen in the pole vault (J12-6) each took second to lead the Lancers.

DuBois was fourth in the pole vault (J12-0), and the 4x800 relay finished fifth (9:12.67) behind Olson, Michael Uy, Breck Duncan and Kuma Okoro.

The 4x400 relay finished sixth (3:47.64) behind Michael Vandenberg, Parker Jensen, Joe Cleary and Kuma Okoro.

Cole Shilobrit was seventh in the 3,200 (11:08), Olson finished eighth in the 800 (2:17.81) and the 4x200 relay took ninth (1:40.27) behind Heckman, Chioma, Jacob Vraney and Parker Jensen.
