Brookfield Lacrosse registration open
The Brookfield Lacrosse Association is holding registration through Feb. 6 for boys and girls youth spring lacrosse.
There are boys teams for grades first through eighth and girls teams for grades third through eighth. Boys in first and second grades take part in an instructional program. All other ages are divided into teams that compete locally.
Brookfield Lacrosse, a nonprofit organization, welcomes players from Brookfield and Elm Grove, as well as players from adjoining communities.
New players are welcome. Practices start indoors in March with outdoor practices and games beginning in April and the season concluding in mid-June.

Junior Spartans football holding registration
The Brookfield East Junior Spartans Football program is holding registration for the 2017-2018 school year.
Registration is open to residents and open-enrollment students in the Brookfield East High School attendance area who will be in fifth through eighth grade during the 2017-2018 school year. Fourth-grade students are welcome to "play up”.
An informational meeting and onsite registration will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Brookfield East High School cafeteria.

Brookfield Park and Rec baseball/softball/t-ball registration
The Brookfield Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry is sponsoring youth baseball, softball and t-ball leagues for children in grades K4-eighth (grade level as of April 2017). Leagues include t-ball, machine and coach pitch, Junior Lakers baseball, Rainbow softball and Junior Brewers baseball.
Eligibility is open to residents of the Elmbrook School District. Information will be emailed to past participants. Nonresidents of either the cty of Brookfield or the Elmbrook School District may apply for placement in this program.
Online registration begins 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, and continues through 5 p.m. March 17. Username and password are required to access online registration (complete Household Information Form to receive username and password).
In-person registration begins Monday, Feb. 13, through Friday, March 17, in the Parks, Recreation & Forestry office, 2000 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield. In-Person registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, conducted simultaneously with online registration. An individual may register online and in-person members of their family household only.
Mail-in or drop off registration will be accepted beginning Monday, Feb. 13, through Friday, March 17. Mail-in and drop-off registration will be processed randomly the next business day received. Registration forms are available online or in the Parks, Recreation & Forestry office.
Emphasis of all leagues is upon participation and enjoyment. There are no cuts or tryouts. Each player must play a minimum of two innings in the field at each game. In addition, all players are included in the batting order for the entire game.
T-Ball leagues will play an eight-game schedule over an eight-week period. All other leagues will play a 10-game schedule over a 10-week period, June 5 to Aug. 14. Practices begin approximately May 15. Teams will practice once a week after the season starts. Interested parents or adults are encouraged to volunteer their services as coaches. Most games will be on weekday evenings at various city parks or school district fields.
Registration fees for all leagues are $50 for Brookfield residents, $75 for residents of the Elmbrook School District and $100 for nonresidents of either the City of Brookfield or the District. A team T-shirt and hat is included in the fee.
