Brookfield Barracudas boys swimming and diving

Brookfield's co-op boys swimming and diving team earned a 118-75 win over Muskego in a Classic 8 dual meet held Dec. 20 at Brookfield East High School.

The Barracudas swept the 13 diving points to begin the dual meet and did not look back in an easy victory. Brookfield will compete next in a Classic 8 dual meet at Arrowhead on Thursday, Jan. 5.

Brookfield Stars boys hockey

An early deficit was too much to overcome, as the Brookfield Stars fell, 6-2, to Cedarburg on Dec. 23.

The Bulldogs scored twice in the first period and began the second period with a pair of goals before Eric Sinson put the Stars (3-6-1 overall) on the scoreboard with a power-play goal with 53 seconds left in the second.

Cedarburg scored twice in the first seven minutes of the third period to take a 6-1 advantage. Joey Schindler scored for Brookfield on a power play with 6:24 to play.

Nathan Rozman and Grady Gibson had assists for the Stars. Emmett Peters made nine saves in goal.

Brookfield Glaciers girls hockey

Brookfield Glaciers girls hockey fell, 7-1, to the Fond du Lac Warbirds at The Ponds of Brookfield on Dec. 23.

Fond du Lac scored the first seven goals of the game, finding the back of the net three times in the first period, three times in the second period and once in the third period. Zoe Sternberg scored a power-play goal off an assist from Hadley Malcomson with 8:39 to play for Brookfield's lone tally.

Kristin Woodcock made 27 saves for the Glaciers.

The loss dropped the Glaciers to 3-5-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the Eastern Shores Conference.
