A Romanian woman who apparently fell into the Thames River during the terror attack in London was rescued by a passing cruise ship, local media reported Thursday.

Andreea Cristea, 29, was visiting London with her fiancé when an attacker drove his vehicle into a crowd on Westminster Bridge, an iconic London landmark popular with tourists, the Daily Mail reports.

The Port of London Authority told the Independent that the woman underwent "urgent medical treatment on a nearby pier. We believe she fell from the bridge.”

Romanian Ambassador Dan Mihalache told Realitatea TV the woman suffered serious head injuries and damaged lungs. Her boyfriend suffered a foot fracture.

"They were tourists, unfortunately they were unlucky. They had come to celebrate his birthday," he said.

Police say Khalid Masood, 52, drove his car into a crowd on the bridge before slamming into a gate outside Parliament and fatally stabbing a police officer. Four were killed, and dozens injured. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
