Fifteen fire departments were called to help battle a fire at a Brookfield office building early Sunday.

A passerby called 911 about 2:45 a.m. to report flames at an office building at 12690 W. North Ave, the Brookfield Fire Department said Monday.

A  Brookfield police officer who arrived shortly after the dispatch reported that Building C of the Eastbrook Executive Office Park complex was fully engulfed.

Fire officials then requested additional help because of the fire's size and close proximity to other buildings. It was brought under control shortly after 4 a.m.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury, according to the fire department.

The building was home to multiple businesses, including counseling offices, a dentist's office and a construction business.

The fire's cause and origin are under investigation. State and federal agencies are helping the City of Brookfield with the investigation.
