TOWN OF BROOKFIELD – Less than a week before its first tenants are set to celebrate its grand opening, The Corners announced yet another first-in-state tenant.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria will be bringing its 100-year tradition of coal-fired, brick oven pizzas to the town of Brookfield’s new mixed-use lifestyle center. The restaurant hopes to open this summer.
Grimaldi’s has 50 locations spread throughout the country and its first restaurant in the state of Wisconsin will be located just west of The Corners’ primary anchor, Von Maur.
“We have had our eye on the development for some time, and we are so pleased to bring our distinctive and truly authentic pizza to Wisconsin as the latest tenant of The Corners,” Grimaldi’s chief executive officer Joey Ciolli said. “Our signature coal-fired brick oven, used to perfect long-standing secret recipes, has made our thin crust pizza and calzones famous across the country, and we are excited to introduce our concept to the Midwest.”
The restaurant joins BelAir Cantina and Café Hollander as eateries announced so far for The Corners, which is being developed by Chicago-based Bradford Real Estate and UK-based IM Properties.
“We are thrilled to welcome Grimaldi’s to The Corners and anticipate it will be another unique offering and attraction to add to the vibrant atmosphere we are aiming to create for shoppers, visitors and residents alike,” IM Properties vice president of U.S. operations Robert Gould said. “I believe Grimaldi’s will quickly develop a large local fan base.”
Other tenants announced so far include Anthony Vince Nail Spa, Anthropologie, Arhaus, Evereve, Francesca’s, Free People, J. Jill, Kendra Scott, lululemon athletica, L.L. Bean, Paper Source, Scout and Molly’s, Sendik’s, Twigs and Wisconsin Vision.
