Town of Brookfield — As The Corners closes in on its spring opening, the cracks are being filled in, both literally and figuratively.

The latest tenant to sign on at the mixed-use lifestyle center at Barker and Bluemound roads is Wisconsin Vision.

Wisconsin Vision is the state’s largest independently-owned optical company and the new store at The Corners will represent its 40th location.

Wisconsin Vision president and CEO Darren Horndasch noted that the company has a high opinion of the town’s new development gem.

“We’ve had our eye on The Corners for quite a while. It’s the largest and most exciting retail and lifestyle real estate development we’ve seen in the state in a long time,” Horndasch said. “The opportunity to be The Corners’ exclusive, standalone optical retailer sealed the deal for us.”

In addition to the town of Brookfield, the company is also set to open a new location in Shorewood this spring. That location is expected to open April 1, ahead of a May 1 date for The Corners store.

Wisconsin Vision will feature a contemporary, boutique-style aesthetic and shopping experience and, in addition to its regular products, will offer a number of upscale brands including Tom Ford, Ray Ban, Prada, Coach, John Varvatos and Chloe.

The Corners location will be approximately 1,800 square feet and will be the company’s first location to be open seven days per week.
