City of Brookfield — The Corridor continues to come together.
The latest business that has announced its tenancy at the new mixed-use development between Bluemound Road and I-94 is ProHealth Care.
The company has announced that it will move its Brookfield clinic from its current home at 2085 N. Calhoun Road to a space in the center of developer Irgens’ project. The middle of The Corridor has been set aside for hospitality, medical and mixed uses.
“Medical services have long been part of our plan for The Corridor and ProHealth Care will be an outstanding addition to the development,” Irgens chief executive officer and manager Mark Irgens said.
Irgens' plans for the new medical building that will house ProHealth Care were approved in November.
ProHealth Care chief executive officer Susan Edwards spoke highly of the new location and the convenience that it will offer clientele.
“The Corridor sits along Bluemound Road, the hub of activity in Brookfield, so this will be a great location for our patients while also providing the room we need for our growing Brookfield practice,” Edwards said.
Specifically, the new ProHealth Care home will be on the west side of Discovery Drive south of Dick’s Sporting Goods. The two-story, 50,000-square-foot building will offer primary care, specialty physicians and an urgent care center.
Lab and X-ray services will be available at the clinic, as well as services such as obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology, electrophysiology, allergy, endocrinology, psychiatry, psychology and nephrology.
ProHealth Care joins the Hilton Garden Inn as the two tenants announced for the mixed-use, middle portion of The Corridor thus far. A conference center had previously been discussed in the area as well; however, that has become unlikely.
The company expects to begin construction on its new Brookfield home in the spring with the goal of opening the clinic in late-spring or early-summer of 2018.
