City of Brookfield — In the months to come the tens of thousands of commuters who pass through the intersection of Bluemound and Moorland roads will have a new and exciting place to stop for a bite to eat.
Chick-fil-A representatives say that their second location in Brookfield — on an outlying lot of Brookfield Square where Associated Bank used to be — will be ready to welcome hungry guests soon.
“We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service,” Chick-fil-A public relations representative Brenda Morrow said. “It has been a longtime goal of ours to serve communities in the Brookfield area and we can, at this time, confirm our second location is projected to open first quarter 2017.”
Construction started late last year, just over two years after the opening of Brookfield's first Chick-fil-A at 12625 W. Capitol Drive in 2014.
The Capitol Drive restaurant set sales records for Chick-fil-A in its opening weekend and the company remains excited to continue to expand not only in Brookfield but throughout the state of Wisconsin.
"We look forward to joining the Brookfield community and serving all of our customers, delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality," Morrow said. "Chick-fil-A has plans to continue growth in Wisconsin trade areas."
The new restaurant will be the latest component in continued additions at Brookfield Square, which added 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space last year and is planning another 50,000-square-foot expansion, as well as a parking structure that could begin construction early next year.
