Library hosts tax preparers helping low- to moderate income taxpayers

The Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, hosts AARP tax preparers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 29.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free, individualized tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers, especially people 60 and older.

Woman's Club hosts annual rummage sale

The Elm Grove Woman's Club, 13885 Watertown Plank Road, hosts its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16.

The rummage sale features more than 30 vendors and includes a bake sale.

Library presents program on back, joint pain

The Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, presents a program called Fix Back and Joint Pain with the One Minute Workout from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30.

The presentation is by Raymond Wu, author of 'One Minute Workout: Build Fat-Burning Lean Muscle, Massive Strength, and Better Health in Just 60 Seconds a Day!'

Sunset presents 'Highlights from the Footlights'

The Sunset Playhouse, 800 Elm Grove Road, presents 'Highlights From The Footlights,' a salute to the best of Broadway in this homage to the timeless songs of the Great White Way. The show runs from Thursday, April 7, to Saturday, April 9. The music is from the Golden Age of Broadway to current smash hits, and everything in between.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for groups of 15 or more.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday.

Library presents Scottish dancers

The Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, presents Scottish Country Dancers in the community room at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5.

Celebrate Scottish American Heritage Month by joining the library for a fabulous performance by the Milwaukee Scottish Country Dancers. All ages are welcome.

Library showing home movies … including yours

Do you have home movies sitting in your closet? The Brookfield Public Library, 1900 Calhoun Road, is hosting a Home Movie Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the community room.

Now is your chance to see them in their full glory! If you don't have home movies just come during the program to watch the home movies of your friends and neighbors.

Film archivists will inspect, clean and repair your reels for projection including 8mm, 16mm, Super 8, videocassettes and DVDs.

Registration is required for those with home movies. Please register with the adult reference desk by Friday, March 25, by calling (262) 782-4140, option 1. Check-in begins at noon on the day of the program.
