CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Theft

A purse containing a cellphone, cash and keys was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, at approximately 6 p.m. June 7.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, at approximately 6:16 p.m. June 10. A window was smashed.

A Rolex was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3500 block of Hilltop Drive sometime between 10 p.m. May 29 and 9 a.m. May 30.

Stripper pads and wax were stolen from Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, June 1 by two suspects who were impersonating cleaners. One suspect was identified via video surveillance as a 40-year-old former employee.

A pair of shoes were stolen from Rogan’s Shoes, 19770 W. Bluemound Road, at 9:58 a.m. June 5 by a suspect described as a 50-year-old black woman with a tattoo on her chest and wearing a black windbreaker jacket and black pants.

A vehicle described as a 2017 Nissan Versa with license plate 380WMK was reported stolen from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 4040 N. 128th Street, at 1:50 p.m. June 6. The business reported that a renter has not returned the vehicle for over a month and they have not been able to get in contact with the renter.

At least one cardigan valued at $12.99 was stolen from H&M, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 3:07 p.m. June 7 by a suspect described as a black woman in her 20s wearing a black shirt and white or tan pants. The complainant reported that more merchandise may have been taken and that the suspect was accompanied by another black woman and two children.

Two 21-year-old women were cited for retail theft and resisting arrest and a 19-year-old woman was referred to the district attorney for charges of retail theft and resisting arrest after being seen concealing merchandise at H&M, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 7:37 p.m. June 7.

Several hundred pounds of scrap metal were stolen from Gordon’s #1 Auto Repair Service, 3595 N. 124th Street, sometime between 7 p.m. June 7 and 7 a.m. June 8 after a back gate was pried open.

A 16-year-old boy was cited for retail theft at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 1:35 p.m. June 8.

A stereo system valued at $400 was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Sheraton, 375 S. Moorland Road, at 2:47 p.m. June 8. Forcible entry damage was observed to the vehicle’s front driver's side door handle and keyhole.

$1,391 was stolen from an unlocked office drawer at LaCoppa Gelato, 4100 N. Calhoun Road, sometime before 3:07 p.m. June 8.

A scanner valued at $4,300 was stolen from Monro Muffler Brake & Service, 13190 W. Capitol Drive, sometime before 10:27 a.m. June 9.

Cash was removed from a register at Eye Care for Animals, 21160 W. Capitol Drive, sometime between 6:30 p.m. June 9 and 7 a.m. June 10. An unknown suspect used a rock to break in through a side door.

A wallet was reported stolen at Pick ‘n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 2:28 p.m. June 10.

A leaf blower valued at $200 was stolen from outside a residence in the 15000 block of Carpenter Road sometime between 5 p.m. June 9 and 11 a.m. June 11.

Burglary

Approximately 20 radiators and 40 to 50 rotors were stolen from Gordon’s #1 Auto Repair Service, 3595 N. 124th Street, sometime during the night of June 5 or early morning hours of June 6. A gated area behind the building was entered via barbed wire being cut.

Drug possession

A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody and referred to the district attorney’s office for one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of narcotic drugs at a residence in the 900 block of Parkway Drive at 10:20 p.m. June 6.    

A 50-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI causing injury and possession of drug paraphernalia after an accident at North Calhoun Road and West Capitol Drive at 10:22 a.m. June 8. 

A 27-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia after being found unconscious in a bathroom at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 6:05 p.m. June 11. The man was found to be in possession of a syringe, spoon and lighter.

OWI

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI first offense at Lilly Road and West North Avenue at 11:16 p.m. June 11. The man had a fake ID that he admitted using to get alcohol. The man’s blood alcohol content was 0.15.

Other

Two students of undisclosed age were cited for damage to property after having been involved in the intentional destruction of a school-owned Chromebook at Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, at 8:26 a.m. June 6.

A 54-year-old man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after a physical altercation during which he allegedly attempted to choke his brother at a residence in the 17800 block of St. James Road at 9:25 a.m. June 8.

An 18-year-old man, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were cited for trespassing for canoeing at the Sileno Quarry, 13475 W. Burleigh Road, at 2:54 p.m. June 8.

A 23-year-old woman was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after an altercation with her girlfriend at Town Place Suites, 600 N. Calhoun Road, at 5:30 p.m. June 9.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Theft

A 12-year-old boy was cited for theft after stealing an iPhone and a wallet from a purse inside of an employee area at the Majestic Theater, 770 Springdale Road, at 9:03 p.m. June 6.

A man of undisclosed age was cited for retail theft at Sam’s Club, 600 Springdale Road, at 9:29 a.m. June 7.

Approximately $60 was stolen from a wallet accidentally left at Laredo’s Mexican Restaurant, 19035 W. Bluemound Road, at 2:37 p.m. June 7.

Drug possession

A 27-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct at South Barker Road and West Greenfield Avenue at 6:43 p.m. June 7.

OWI

A woman of undisclosed age was cited for OWI at South Barker Road and West Greenfield Avenue at 4:14 a.m. June 9. The woman’s blood alcohol content was 0.16.

A man of undisclosed age was cited for OWI at McDonald’s, 18695 W. Bluemound Road, at 11:55 a.m. June 9. The man’s blood alcohol content was 0.04; however, his license had been revoked due to noncompliance with an alcohol safety plan and insurance requirements.

A 45-year-old man was cited for OWI at Interstate 94 and West Bluemound Road at 11:40 p.m. June 9. The man’s blood alcohol content was 0.19.

Other

A 36-year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct after refusing to pay his bill and making a scene at Bullwinkle’s, 20290 W. Bluemound Road, at 11:15 p.m. June 7. Police responded to the restaurant after the man refused to pay his bill and denied having drunk as many beers as the bar was charging him for. Police spoke with restaurant staff and confirmed the bill. The man still refused to pay and began swearing at an officer at which time he was placed under arrest.
