TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

A glass door was broken in at Salto Gymnastics, 21950 Doral Road, sometime before 8:30 a.m. April 9. A piece of scrap steel had been thrown through the door. File cabinets and desk drawers had been rifled through and left ajar; however, nothing appeared to be missing.

Theft

A wallet containing $80 in cash, a debit card and various coupons was stolen from a vehicle parked at Brennan’s Market, 19000 W. Bluemound Road, sometime between 12:45 and 1:30 p.m. April 4.

OWI

A 57-year-old man was cited for OWI second offense after a traffic stop at West Greenfield Avenue and Ridgeway Road at 6:20 p.m. April 8. According to a breath test the man’s blood alcohol content was 0.162. The man was also cited for possession of marijuana.

Other

A 30-year-old man was taken into custody with charges referred to the district attorney’s office for disorderly conduct and battery after allegedly striking a 28-year-old woman during a traffic stop at West Bluemound Road and North Barker Road at 8:34 a.m. April 6.

CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

The locks of a trailer in the 3700 block of North 126th Street were cut sometime between April 1 and April 3 by an unknown suspect. The trailer was empty and nothing was taken.

Theft

A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at Goodwill, 18605 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 12:33 p.m. April 4.

A 28-year-old man, 40-year-old man and 36-year-old man were taken into custody and charged with retail theft at Pick ‘n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 11:39 p.m. April 4. The 28-year-old was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and the 36-year-old was also charged with possession of a concealed weapon.

A package containing $60 worth of items including a dog cone, e-collar, vitamins and face wash was stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 2400 block of Camelot Drive sometime between 12:10 and 12:30 p.m. April 5.

$80 in cash was stolen from a piggy bank in an office at 13400 Bishops Lane sometime between 6 and 10 p.m. April 6.

A shopping bag full of boys jeans and girls clothes was stolen by a suspect described as a black man from Kohl’s, 2315 N. 124th Street, at 1:53 p.m. April 7. The man fled the scene eastbound on West North Avenue.

Two suspects described as a black man and a black woman stole an unknown amount of merchandise from Sally Beauty Supply, 12455 W. Capitol Drive, at 1:40 p.m. April 8.

A 35-year-old woman was cited for retail theft at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 3 p.m. April 8.

A metal lockbox containing prescribed methadone was stolen from a vehicle parked at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, sometime between 2:30 and 9:30 p.m. April 8.

A black 2016 Ford Edge SUV was stolen from a residence in the 2500 block of Thornapple Lane sometime before 10:07 a.m. April 9. A spare key was kept in the vehicle’s center console. Also in the vehicle were two handguns and over 100 rounds of ammunition.

A 66-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were cited for retail theft after concealing merchandise and doing price changes at Goodwill, 18605 W. Bluemound Road, at 5 p.m. April 9.

OWI

A 35-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI second offense after being found slumped over the wheel in the parking lot of Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, at 7:07 p.m. April 7.

Vandalism

A residence in the 2400 block of North 130th Street was egged sometime during the night of April 7 or early morning hours of April 8.

Other

A 38-year-old man was taken into custody for domestic violence/battery after allegedly throwing a woman against a wall at a residence in the 2700 block of Brookview Court at approximately 2:43 p.m. April 9.
