CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a business in the 3500 block of North 127th Street at approximately midnight March 27. Surveillance footage showed a vehicle arrive around that time and a suspect appearing to be a man break in by smashing a window with a brick.

Theft

A man of undisclosed age and a 25-year-old woman were taken into custody for retail theft after concealing $146 and $60 worth of merchandise respectively at Kohl’s, 2315 N. 124th St., at 4:58 p.m. March 27. The man was charged with retail theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia while the woman was cited for retail theft.

Twelve 6 ½-foot tall arborvitaes and two unknown flowering trees with a total value of $700 were stolen from the property of Airpage, 14150 W. Greenfield Ave., sometime between March 25 and 11:25 a.m. March 28 by unknown suspects.

$330.97 worth of shampoo and liquor was stolen from Pick ‘n Save, 15170 W. Greenfield Ave., at approximately 11:05 a.m. March 30 by a suspect described as a black woman in her 30s standing approximately 5 foot 2 inches with a larger build and wearing a black jacket. The suspect entered the passenger side of a vehicle described as either a dark blue or black sedan, possibly a Ford Focus.

A 45-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were taken into custody and charged with retail theft and resisting arrest after concealing merchandise at H & M, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 1:54 p.m. March 30 and then attempting to flee the scene.

A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody for retail theft after concealing merchandise in a fitting room at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 3:07 p.m. March 31.

A 17-year-old female employee of Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, was taken into custody at 6:06 p.m. March 31 for theft after stealing $894 from the business during her employment.

A 23-year-old woman was cited for retail theft after stealing a set of cooking pans and then returning them for a gift card at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 3:39 p.m. April 1.

A 47-year-old man was cited for retail theft after removing a theft detection device from a pair of tennis shoes and concealing the merchandise at Burlington Coat Factory, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, at 5:41 p.m. April 1.

Drug possession

A 25-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine at West Capitol Drive and Pilgrim Road at 12:37 a.m. March 28. A second 25-year-old man was taken into custody for being party to a crime.

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at West Capitol Drive and Fiebrantz Drive at 12:34 a.m. March 30.

A 24-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 9:01 p.m. March 31.

OWI

A 36-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI first offense at North Moorland Road and West Bluemound Road at 2:44 a.m. April 1. The man’s blood alcohol content was 0.16.

A 52-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI third offense after a traffic stop at Main Street and West Bluemound Road at 12:44 a.m. April 2.

Other

A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after allegedly threatening employees at Buy Buy Baby, 665 Main St., during an argument at 6 p.m. March 26.

An 18-year-old former female employee at McDonald’s, 300 N. Moorland Road, came into the restaurant with two accomplices and attempted to get into an altercation with a current employee March 28. According to the complainant, the former employee went behind the service counter and swung a broom at the current employee multiple times before fleeing the scene on a bus going eastbound on Bluemound Road.

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after being seen defecating on the public playground structure at Mitchell Park, 19900 River Road, at 2:59 p.m. March 28.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

Three televisions valued at $170 each were stolen from three different rooms at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 4:04 p.m. March 29. All three rooms had unsecured windows through which access to the rooms was possible. A witness reported having seen a suspect near one of the rooms described as a bald white man in his late 30s or early 40s standing 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds and wearing a black sweatshirt.

Theft

A Minnesota license plate reading 940-VHU was stolen from a vehicle parked at Jose’s Blue Sombrero, 20371 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 7:12 p.m. March 28.

OWI

A 44-year-old woman was cited for OWI second offense after a traffic stop at Quality Inn, 20150 W. Bluemound Road, at 1:26 a.m. April 2. According to a preliminary breath test, the woman’s blood alcohol content was 0.224.

Other

A 32-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were both cited for disorderly conduct after getting into a verbal and physical altercation at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, at 12:35 p.m. March 29.

ELM GROVE

Drug possession

A woman of undisclosed age was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Lilly Road and Garfield Street at 10:13 p.m. March 28.

Two men of undisclosed age were taken into custody after a traffic stop at West Bluemound Road and Sunnyslope Road at 5:11 p.m. March 31. One man was referred to the district attorney’s office for charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia while the second man was referred on a charge of possession of cocaine.

OWI

A woman of undisclosed age was cited for OWI first offense after a traffic stop at Pilgrim Parkway and Cascade Drive at 10:06 p.m. March 29. According to a preliminary breath test, the woman’s blood alcohol content was 0.198.
