CITY OF BROOKFIELD - Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry stolen in broad daylight and security cameras to boot.

Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect who burglarized a residence near North Brookfield Road and Capone Court last week.

Between 2:20 and 2:40 p.m. March 20,a suspect was caught committing the crime. He is described as a white or Hispanic man, about 25 to 30 years old and standing between 5 foot 4 inches and 5 foot 7 inches and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. The man has a goatee and was observed wearing a green hat, green pants, a button-down work shirt and jacket.

A glass patio door was broken, and the suspect stole two Wi-Fi security cameras, thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and a duffel bag, which he used to carry the stolen property. The bag is leather and embroidered with the name "Mallory."
