$171.41 worth of merchandise was stolen from Pick 'n Save, 15170 W. Greenfield Ave., at 5:56 p.m. Feb. 21. The suspect is described as a woman who was accompanied by two men.

A 26-year-old woman was cited for retail theft at Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, at 4:55 p.m. Feb. 22.

A 43-year-old man was taken into custody for retail theft and bail jumping at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:20 p.m. Feb. 22.

A mailbox and its post were removed from a residence in the 15400 block of Saint Therese Boulevard sometime before 11:34 p.m. Feb. 23. The complainant told police that the mailbox had been stolen repeatedly recently. It was found nearby in a creek.

A 16-year-old girl was charged with unauthorized use of any person’s identity, possession of stolen property and theft in relation to a number of items and a large amount of cash having been stolen from the girls locker room at Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, at 2:02 p.m. Feb. 23.

Two pieces of jewelry valued at $36 were stolen from Kohl’s, 2315 N. 124th Street, at approximately 3:47 p.m. Feb. 23. Loss prevention employees confronted the suspect, a 31-year-old woman, who returned the merchandise but fled the scene. She was later taken into custody.

Over $900 was reported stolen from a cash drawer at 5:59 p.m. Feb. 23 at Ross Dress for Less, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, by a 19-year-old employee. The complainant told police that the employee has not returned to work since the alleged theft.

A 15-year-old boy was cited for retail theft after concealing two pairs of shorts valued at $76 at JC Penney, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 6:51 p.m. Feb. 23.

A vehicle described as a 2015 black Volkswagen Passat with license plate 346-KYX was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of North Columbia Boulevard sometime before 7:06 a.m. Feb. 25. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys had been left inside the vehicle.

$200 in cash, $35 worth of gift cards, credit cards, a driver's license and a social security card were stolen from a wallet left in an unlocked locker at Planet Fitness, 15740 W. Capitol Drive, sometime before 11:15 a.m. Feb. 25. The suspect in the case is described as an 18-to 19-year-old Hispanic woman with short brown hair.

A wallet containing $500 in cash, credit cards and a driver's license was stolen at Trader Joe’s, 12665 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 5:32 p.m. Feb. 26. A credit card was later used to fraudulently purchase two MacBook Pros.


A 70-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI fourth offense at Krueger Park, 100 N. Columbia Blvd., at 4:25 p.m. Feb. 22.


Police responded to Immanuel Lutheran School, 13445 Hampton Road, at 11:02 a.m. Feb. 22 after a third-grader told a classmate that she had a bomb. The student later told police that she had said that because the student was picking on her. The matter was to be handled by the school.


Drug possession

An 18-year-old man, two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were cited for possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at Poplar Creek Parkway and West Bluemound Road at 1:39 p.m. Feb. 24.

A man of undisclosed age was found unconscious from an apparent overdose at 7-Eleven, 19600 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:27 a.m. Feb. 22. The man was transported to Elmbrook Memorial Hospital and taken into custody and read his legal rights while unconscious.

A man of undisclosed age was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report of him having been unconscious in the bathroom at Acura of Brookfield, 19180 W. Bluemound Road, at 8:53 a.m. Feb. 24. The man was an employee. A manager later found a bag full of syringes and tourniquets and the man admitted to police that he had just “shot up.”


A 28-year-old man was taken into custody for theft, OWI and possession of prescription drugs after allegedly stealing a vehicle from Motel Six, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, at 2:53 a.m. Feb. 27.

A 53-year-old man was cited for OWI fourth offense after an accident at Scarlet Hawthorne Road and South Barker Road at 4:43 p.m. Feb. 27.



Police responded to a report of an accident in the 1500 block of North 124th Street at 12:25 p.m. Feb. 23. An unknown vehicle described as likely a 2012 to 2014 black Ford Focus missing a right side mirror had struck a parked vehicle and a mailbox between 1:30 and 2 a.m. that morning.
