CITY OF BROOKFIELD
Approximately $20 was stolen by an unknown suspect described as a black man standing between 6 feet tall and 6 foot 2 inches, weighing approximately 170 pounds, wearing a blue winter jacket, a black winter hat, a blue surgical mask and jeans at 7-Eleven, 3960 N. Brookfield Road, at 9:05 p.m. Feb. 1. The complainant told police that the suspect had entered the store, purchased candy, walked around the store and then pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
$2,700 in cash was stolen from Direct Service, 4065 N. 126th Street, sometime before 8:34 a.m. Jan. 30. The complainant told police that he suspects a relative who has a key to the business and has been known to have drug addiction history.
A 41-year-old man was taken into custody for concealing two bottles of gin at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 6:39 p.m. Jan. 30.
A wallet containing credit cards, $40 in cash and a driver’s license was stolen from a cart at Pick ’n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at around 6:15 p.m. Jan. 30.
A 17-year-old boy was cited for retail theft at Pick ’n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, at 8:03 p.m. Feb. 1.
$411.85 worth of DVDs were stolen from Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 4:46 p.m. Feb. 2 by two suspects described as one woman and one man.
As many as 10 items were stolen from H&M, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 8:27 p.m. Feb. 2 by two suspects described as black women standing 5 foot 3. One was wearing a dark-colored, knee-length jacket with fur around the hood and light-colored/acid wash jeans while the second is described as having worn a light-colored jacket, dark jeans and white shoes.
Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 8:26 p.m. Feb. 1. A 24-year-old woman reported that an unknown suspect described as a black man standing 6 feet tall, wearing a red hat, blue and black checkered jacket, grey hoodie and grey sweatpants struck her twice in the leg and once in the face and took her phone and threw it in the parking lot.
A 34-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI third offense and possession of marijuana after crashing into a ditch at West Burleigh Road and San Juan Trail at 11:35 p.m. Feb. 4.
A 19-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of marijuana at AT&T, 3825 N. 124th St., at 4 a.m. Feb. 5.
An 18-year-old woman was taken into custody for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule II narcotics and possession of schedule IV narcotics in the 800 block of South Bobolink Drive at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 5. A 20-year-old woman was also taken into custody and cited for underage possession of alcohol.
A 22-year-old man was taken into custody for OWI second offense at Walmart, 15205 W. Greenfield Ave., at 2:25 a.m. Feb. 1.
Obscenities were spray-painted inside the pool area at Wirth Park, 2585 Pilgrim Road, sometime between 3 p.m. Jan. 27 and 1 p.m. Jan. 30. The damage is estimated in excess of $500. It is believed that the unknown suspect climbed a fence in order to get into the pool area.
A 65-year-old man was placed into protective custody after twice calling police between 6 and 7:15 p.m. Feb. 3 thinking that “ghost hunters” were in his house in the 17600 block of Brooklawn Drive and were trying to commit a burglary. It is believed that the man was having visual and auditory hallucinations as a result of medications he was taking.
An 18-year-old woman was taken into custody and referred to the district attorney’s office for child abuse after a physical altercation with her 16-year-old sister at a residence in the 1300 block of Dover Place at 6:17 p.m. Feb. 4.
TOWN OF BROOKFIELD
Police responded to a report of harassment at Wisconsin Athletic Club, 20075 Watertower Blvd., at 5:59 p.m. Feb. 1 after a man reported that his adult daughter, who works at the club, had been being harassed by one of the man’s friends. The friend had visited the club and been given a tour of the facility. He made several comments about wishing his daughter was as beautiful as her and later left messages on her business line asking for her personal number. Police contacted the friend and told him to have no further contact with her. He agreed and stated that he had only been concerned about the woman rushing to marry her boyfriend. He stated that he did not want her to have a failed marriage like himself.
A man of undisclosed age was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 12400 block of West Bluemound Road at 6:10 p.m. Feb. 3.
A man of undisclosed age was cited for OWI first offense after a traffic stop at West Bluemound Road and Sunnyslope Road at 9:31 p.m. Feb. 2. The man's blood alcohol content according to a preliminary breath test was 0.219.
