CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

A number of items were stolen from a residence in the 14800 block of Beechwood Avenue sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. Jan. 4. The unknown burglars entered through an open door.

A watch, approximately $150 in cash, and jewelry were stolen from a residence near Yukon Road and Kodiak Trail sometime between 1 and 2:43 p.m. Jan. 6. A door to the residence had been forced open.

Theft

A 36-year-old woman was cited for retail theft at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 4:22 p.m. Jan. 2.

A blue Schecter Hellraiser 7 Guitar was stolen from Guitar Center, 17135 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 11:47 a.m. Jan. 3.

An unknown number of video game controllers were stolen from Walmart, 15205 W. Greenfield Ave., at approximately 3:04 p.m. Jan. 4 by a suspect described as a white man standing 5 feet 7 inches, weighing 140 pounds and wearing a charcoal grey jacket, blue jeans and a winter hat.

A wallet was reported stolen from BMO Harris Bank, 180 N. Executive Drive, sometime between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5.

A 19-year-old male employee was cited for theft at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 345 Discovery Drive, at 5:52 p.m. Jan. 5.

A 16-year-old boy was cited for retail theft after attempting to conceal a bottle of liquor at Piggly Wiggly, 2315 N. 124th St., at 3:12 p.m. Jan. 6.

A purse was reported stolen at Kohl’s, 2315 N. 124th St., at approximately 4:35 p.m. Jan. 6.

A 16-year-old female employee was cited for theft at Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, at 10:38 a.m. Jan. 7 after repeatedly loading store gift cards in the amounts of $5 or $10 and then using them to make purchases.

A backpack containing a Chromebook was stolen from a locked vehicle parked at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, sometime between 11 a.m. and 5:29 p.m. Jan. 8. A window had been broken.

Drug possession

A 16-year-old boy was cited for possession of marijuana at Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, at 2:28 p.m. Jan. 3.

OWI

A 26-year-old woman was taken into custody for OWI - drug-related after a traffic stop at West Greenfield Avenue and South Moorland Road at 1:27 a.m. Jan. 5.

Other

A 34-year-old man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct/domestic violence after allegedly striking his wife during an argument at a residence in the 1100 block of South Club Circle at 12:50 p.m. Jan. 7. The man was taken into custody again at 1:29 p.m. Jan. 8 for violating a 72-hour no contact order by texting and calling his wife.

Theft

An 18-year-old woman was cited for retail theft after stealing a sweater valued at $99 from Laacke and Joys, 19233 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:11 p.m. Jan. 4.

A laptop valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from a room at Motel Six, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, sometime before 7:55 a.m. Jan. 5. The complainant had been a guest at the motel but had been hospitalized Dec. 31. Upon retrieving her belongings, she said that the laptop was missing.

A 21-year-old man was cited for retail theft after stealing a bottle of liquor from Walgreens, 21325 E. Moreland Blvd., at 3:09 p.m. Jan. 7.
