Tony winner Daveed Diggs dropped the mic one last time on the Hamilton stage Friday night.

Daveed Diggs is going to be a busy man for a while.

But he's not taking the weekend off. On Saturday, he heads down to Washington to host the finals of the Brave New Voices spoken-word competition at the Kennedy Center.

And now he's landed his first film role. Wonder, based on R.J. Palacio's novel, will unite the breakout Broadway star with the breakout star of the 2016 awards season: Jacob Tremblay. Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, confirmed the news to USA TODAY.

Diggs would play teacher to Tremblay, whose character has a facial deformity that prohibits him from attending a mainstream school. Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson are attached to play Tremblay's parents.

His docket also includes a role in Andy Samberg's next HBO sports mockumentary, Tour de Pharmacy,THR and Entertainment Weekly report. There's also talk of a guest-arc on the third season of  ABC's Black-Ish, which returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 (9:30 ET). Creator Kenya Barris, says he's had Diggs on his wish list ever since he saw Hamilton.

Diggs' music group Clipping also released an EP in June, so if you missed him in Hamilton, you might yet still get a chance to see him spitting bars at breakneck speed in person if and when the group tours.
