We've got good news and bad news for Hamilton fans.

And so the balance shifts in favor of new blood: Daveed Diggs will exit 'Hamilton' this Friday.

Bad news first: Tony winner Daveed Diggs, who played the dual role of the Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, will retire his French accent after Friday's show. Understudies Andrew Chappelle, Austin Smith and Seth Stewart will fill in until the role is recast.

And some good news for fans of Lin-Manuel Miranda's first musical In the Heights: Karen Olivo, who played Vanessa in that production, will be playing Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago production of Hamilton, opening Sept. 27. She is a Tony winner for her work as Anita in the revival of West Side Story.

The title role is going to Miguel Cervantes (If/Then, American Idiot), while Alexander Gemignani (Les Misérables, Sunday in the Park With George) will be wearing King George III's crown.

The other principal roles in the Chicago cast of 'Hamilton':
Eliza Hamilton: Ari Afsar
Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson: Chris Lee
John Laurens/Philip Hamilton: Jose Ramos
Hercules Mulligan/James Madison: Wallace Smith
Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds: Samantha Marie Ware
