Jackie Evancho, the classical soprano who rose to fame as a 10-year-old on America's Got Talent, will perform the National Anthem at President-elect Trump's inauguration in January.

The singer, now 16, broke the news on the Today show Wednesday morning. "I'm so excited. It's going to be awesome," she told anchors Hoda Kotb, Matt Lauer, Tamron Hall and Al Roker. "I felt really honored to be able to sing for the office, it's a great honor for me."

Here's what Trump's election means for pro-Clinton Hollywood

The singer, who placed second in the 2010 season of NBC's reality competition show, has already sung for a president. In 2010 she sang for President Obama and the first family at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.

"I feel really honored to have the chance to perform for the president again."

Evancho has met Trump in the past, at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida shortly after her debut on AGT.

The singer is currently touring and promoting her latest album, Someday at Christmas.
