Public ice skating: Grab your skates and take a spin around the ice at the Eble Ice Arena, 19400 W. Bluemound Road, from noon to 3 p.m. each weekday and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $5 for children and senior citizens. Skates can be rented for $2.50.

Toddler Tales: Children ages 2 and 3 can listen to stories, sing songs and enjoy finger plays during a half-hour session at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road.

Baby and Me Story Time with Cheri Riehle: Children up to 3 years of age and their caregiver can take part in playtime with toys related to the theme for the day from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd. Registration is required; call the library at 262-782-6717.

Preschool Story Time: Children ages 3 to 5 who haven’t started kindergarten yet can take part in early literacy activities including stories, rhymes and songs from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd. Register for this group by stopping by the Children’s Department or calling the library at 262-782-6700.

Elm Grove Monthly Lego Club: The library will provide the Legos and a theme for the day to guide participant’s creative building during this drop-in program from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd. This activity is recommended for kids in kindergarten through grade five.

Email class: Learn how to compose, send, receive, forward and reply to email messages during this class at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, from 2 to 3 p.m. Basic keyboard and mouse skills are required. Call 262-782-4140, option 1, to register.

BabyTime story time: Children up to 24 months can listen to stories, sing songs and more during this program from 11 to 11:20 a.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road. A parent or caregiver must attend with the child.

Morning Coffee Break: Parents and other caregivers can enjoy coffee and conversation while their 3- to 5-year-olds play and listen to stories at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd., from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

“She Loves Me”: This touching performance features two feuding perfume clerks who don’t realize they are in love. The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. (also 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday) at the Sunset Playhouse, 800 Elm Grove Road. Tickets cost $15. Calhoun Road. The Overdrive system will be demonstrated and there will be a question-and-answer session.

Tuesday 4/11

Tuesday Morning Playgroup: Children up to age 2 can drop in any time between 10 and 11:30 a.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, to play with toys and make new friends.

Toddler Playgroup: Children up to age 3 can enjoy play time with age-appropriate early literacy toys and interaction with other toddlers and their caregivers during this story time at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd. Drop in anytime between 10 and 11 a.m. Registration is not needed.

Talkin’ Baseball with Tim O’Driscoll: Tim O’Driscoll, official scorekeeper for the Milwaukee Brewers, will discuss what it is like to work in Major League Baseball, share his favorite interactions with players and coaches, and talk about other lessons learned from more than 2,400 games at the ballpark from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Elm Grove Public Library, 13600 Juneau Blvd. Just drop in.

Tuesday bridge group: Come play bridge at the Brookfield Senior Community Center located at City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. each Tuesday. The cost is $1 per week. Boost Your Public Speaking Skills: People interested in improving their ability to speak confidently and effectively to groups and learning how to overcome their nerves can sit in on a free, one-hour demonstration seminar at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The seminar is being conducted as a public service by members of the Brookfield Toastmasters Club. Just drop in.

Wednesday 4/12

Caricatures & Comedy with Bill Begos: Children can enjoy fun and hilarious entertainment from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road.

Adult Coloring Club: People 16 and older can reduce stress and relax by coloring from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Road. Coloring pages and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. This group meets the second Wednesday of each month. Participants can drop in and leave at any time throughout the session.

Tai Chi: Members of the Brookfield Senior Community Center will practice Tai Chi each Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the center, which is inside City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road.

Scrabble play: The Brookfield Senior Community Center located at City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road, hosts Scrabble game playing from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday. Just drop by. For information on the center, call 262-796-6675.
