Stephen Colbert goes undercover at a Cubs game, sells hot dogs
If The Late Show doesn't work out for Stephen Colbert, he has a bright future in the world of hot dog vending.
The comedian made a trip to a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field to throw out the first pitch and also, because he's Stephen Colbert, dress up in his best Robert Downey, Jr. goatee and pretend to be a regular hot dog vendor.
But as far as we know, regular hot dog vendors don't usually take bites out of hotdogs before selling them, carry whipped cream to squirt on beer or invite fans to his "panel van under Lake Shore Drive." But maybe games would be more entertaining if they did.
The Cubbies are in the playoffs this year, and the expectations are high after their blockbuster season since they haven't won a world series since, oh, 1908. Here's to hoping Colbert gave them some inspiration.
